Weigh-In 5-30

243.6 lbs--- up .4 lbs

33.8% bodyfat--- down 2.4%

I'm really hoping that I just gained a little bit of muscle from all the swimming, constant resistance and whatnot.

I noticed something really weird. When I first bought my scale, in January 2008, I weighed 229 lbs. Since then, I've gained about 15 lbs, well more than that, but as of right now, I weigh about 15 lbs then I did. The weird thing is, my body fat virtually has not changed. It typically fluctuates between about 33% and 36% depending on my hydration level. So I'm wondering how I gained 15 lbs without any notable change in BF percentage. I realize that the electrolysis method of BF measurement used in scales, or hand held devices, isn't the most accurate, but it should be equally inaccurate all the time. I dont know, its just weird.

Anyways I'm freakin exhausted, went to the Starlight Parade tonight, downtown Portland. Prior to the parade they have the Starlight Run, its like a 5k (I believe), a lot of people dress up in costumes and its run on the same route as the parade so they run in front the crowd. Anyways, I decided I'm going to run in it next year. It looks hella fun. And if I do the triathlon thing like I want, it'll be a few weeks before, and a damn good prep event.

Alright, I'll be without computer for a few days, hopefully I'll have back by midweek, but I don't know when I'm getting it back for sure. Gettin some work done on it. So I probably won't be on here much this week. I guess it'll be a good test of whether I can workout without the motivation of getting on here when I'm done. Anyways, Until I return, good luck to all. Enjoy the journey.

Nice Sunny Friday

Work sucked, kinda shitty, really boring day. Then I got paid, had some delicious chicken for dinner, and went swimming. Was in the pool for like 90 minutes or so. Got some good work in. I think I at least had some time where my freestyle stroke felt good. The last couple nights I've done the majority of my swimming underwater, with my sort-of breast stroke. I like swimming underwater because I don't have to worry about breathing in rhythm, because I still haven't gotten the hang of that.

Then I kinda started thinking about how when I was a kid I was afraid of swimming. I was scared to death when they tried to make me dive off the side when I took swim lessons. Hell, even when I was a teenager I hated swimming. I hated it all the way up until about 2 or 3 years ago. I'm not exactly sure when it changed, or why, but now I love it. I went from not being able to put my head under water to PREFERRING swimming under water. Now I'm actually worrying about trying to improve my stroke. I'm sure part of it is because I've realized that swimming is AWESOME exercise. Part of it is probably because I had to do some swimming when I "did" the triathlon in college. Like I said, I don't really know what changed that made me enjoy the pool, but I'm damn glad it did. Now I'm hoping that the pool will help me erase several years of laziness and get into the best shape of my life.

Had a kinda sorta busy day at work. Mainly, it was hot. Okay the high temp was only like 85, but I work in semi trucks, and I think it was like 95ish in there. I was drippin sweat all day, but on the plus side, I drank a lot of water, haha.

Anyways, my girlfriend and I spent like 2 1/2 hours in the pool tonight. Got some laps done, wasn't really going all that intensely, but still got some work in. Then we spent a lot of time like wrestling and whatnot. Did a good number of "squats" with her on my shoulders. Definitely got a pretty good all around work out in. I'm pretty damn tired, and my muscles are tired too. Got a bad feeling that I'll be pretty sore tomorrow.

Another couple days of working out in the sun are going to be fun, actual work, I'm gonna have a nice tan by the time it cools down again, thats for sure. I was hecka red when I got home, haha. Gotta love sunburns. I'll be pissed if it doesn't turn into tan though, sometimes it does but sometimes it doesnt. It better this time. Anyways, I'm kinda rambling now, sure sign of tiredness. Going to bed, later.

Early workout.

Decided to get in an early workout today. Okay, well not EARLY, but early. I normally workout around 7 or 8 at night. Last night went for a 9pm swim, late night swims are undoubtedly the best. But today I went in around 4.

Treadmill- 30 minutes, aprox 1.7 miles, 180 calories.

2 sets each: 10 pushups, 10 bodyweight squats
6 sets total core work. (3 crunch variations, 3 superman (hyperextension) variations)

Didn't go super heavy on the cardio. But I got in my first "resistance" training. A little bit later then I wanted to fit it in, but I've been focusing on cardio, and doing pretty with that. But I decided that if I'm going to start losing weight, I need to build some more muscle as well.

All I know is, so far I've had a really good week, worked out every day, and I'm nervous as hell waiting for my Saturday weigh-in.

Pretty good day

First off, yesterday I swam for about 45 minutes. Got in a pretty good workout. By the time I was done, my shoulders were sore, and they were sort of "clicking"when I would stroke. At first I was thinking that it was an overuse type thing. But as I think about it more I think its more of a technical issue. It doesn't really hurt or anything, just kinda clicks. I was planning on taking a day or two off swimmng, but that didn't quite workout.

Okay so Today.

Bike- 45 minutes, 12 1/3 miles, 305 calories. Really good workout. First time I did the bike in like 4 days or so, I think. Anyways yeah, good work out, after a little stretch I was feeling pretty good.

Then, I swam for about an hour or so. Didn't do all that of a workout. Just kind of a light day in the pool. Tried to do a little technique work, maybe it helped, probably didn't. I've figured this much out, I'm pretty good at launching off the wall. Other than that, I pretty much suck, haha. I have a lot of work to do. But I figure, its damn good exercise, and its pretty fun, so at least I'll get in better shape while I improve. Alls I know, is I've swam 4 days in a row, and got a good bike workout as well, 3 days to go, and hopefully I'll rock the scale this week.

2nd Swim

Spent about 90 minutes or so in the pool. Wasn't swimming, at least not intensely, the whole time. But, WHEW, I'm sore now. Swam a lot more than yesterday. I think I kinda have an idea of how the stroke itself is supposed to feel. Now, I just have to getting my chest down, my legs higher, and of course that whole breathing thing is kind of important. Yesterday I think I had about two laps where I had a good rhythm and was breathing good and everything. Hasn't happened again since then. But hey, there's no rush. I got plenty of time to get it figured out, and just keep getting in better shape while I'm at it. For now, I just have to decide if I'm going to swim tomorrow, or maybe do a little biking or running. At this point, my shoulders and biceps are ridiculously sore, so I'm not sure if I want to swim again tomorrow or not. I guess I'll decide tomorrow.

Oh by the way, if I'm ever going to be able to swim any distance, I'm REALLY gonna have to figure out how to breath in the water. Make that, figure out how to breath while swimming. I know how to breath in water, unfortunately the only way I know how is to stop stroking and pick my head up, which isn't going to get me any where. Once I get that figured out, I think I'll be alright and be able to get in some really good work.

First day swimming

As promised, 3rd post of the day, this one about swimming. Spent about 45 minutes to an hour in the pool today. Only actually swam maybe ten laps or so. But it was a nice light workout. And it definitely gave me a feel for where I'm at technique wise, and how far I need to go. Got a nice bit of sun as well. Can't wait to be all tanned and have a very Phelps-like body. That should happen in about........ 3 weeks..... HAHA.

Just to lighten things up around here: heres an idea for a tattoo I want to get on my back, once I'm a profressional triathlete and all that..... I hope it comes out alright, probably won't but I'll try anyways...

Weigh-in 5-23

243.2 lbs - up .8 lbs

36.2% bodyfat - down .8%

after my positive result last week, I was thinking about only weighing in every two weeks, but I wanted to get a weight up before I start swimming. I figure that will give me a way to see if swimming helps me lose more than without swimming.

Anyways, I didn't get a good workout in a couple days this week. I've been trying to eat better, but of course, thats hard to do. So I'm gonna go for my first swim in a little while, after I get my goggles to fit good, work harder this week, and hope for a good number.

Crazy couple of days

Thursday- just played some tennis, nothing special.

Friday- Hard ass workout. Bike- 27 minutes, 8 or 9 miles, 210 calories. Was short on time and wanted to do something different. So I did the "speed interval" program. Boy was it hard. 1:40 easy, 1:40 really hard, so on and so forth. I was pouring sweat for sure.

I was going to blog about it last night. But I spent ALL DAY yesterday trying to download/install ITunes, and get my girlfriends brand new Ipod shuffle to work. Newsflash, still doesn't work. So if anyone happens to know how to get an IPOD shuffle (2nd gen) to work, please, PLEASE let me know.

Today, I'm gonna do a weigh-in, and then go hit the pool for the first time of the season. Mght blog again tonight to mention how it goes.

Post 31

Workout- Treadmill 30 minutes 1.5 miles, 200 calories. I'm not really sure how, but I managed to go a quarter mile less than last time, and burn 25 more calories. Haha, weird how stuff works huh? It was pretty damn hot in there tonight. My calves were killing me, and then my shin splints started acting up. If it wasn't for that I probably would've go close to 2 milesish. I ended up having to take it easy for about the last 10 minutes or so. Lately I've been having problems with my calves. I think they've just been super tight. I guess I should probably take more time to stretch. By the way, if anyone knows of a way to get rid of shin splints PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Anyways, I realized that I did my 30th post yesterday. Given several times that I've had multiple posts in one day, and some days where I haven't posted at all, I figure that means I've been blogging actively for about a month. I haven't really lost all that much weight in the last month, but I'm definitely in better shape. I can run farther than I could before. When I first started, I would only spend 15 minutes on either the treadmill or bike. I kind of did that on purpose because I thought I could go faster and burn more calories that way. After I got my triathlon training book, and started training with the goal of completing a triathlon in mind, I started worrying more about endurance than speed. That has helped my greatly. Lately I've been burning a minimum of about 200 calories per session. And also, I've been playing a little tennis in addition to my workouts. And hey, I've even picked up a few readers in the last month.

Diet is definitely my biggest obstacle at this point. I have been conciously trying to eat better. Mainly by eating a less than I would normally, or by trying to avoid pointless snacking. I have to do a lot of work when it comes to quality of the food I eat, and definitely nutrition, because I'm not eating very good food. But I've definitely made some progress, and lost a few pounds. As I continue to improve both my workouts and my nutrition I'm sure the weight will take care of itself.

The pool in my apartments opens in the next couple of days. I get to start swimming, something I used to hate doing, now I'm looking forward to it because of the quality of exercise it provides, and the whole triathlon training thing too. Hopefully as I add swimming into my exercise schedule, it will help me to burn a lot more calories and lose some more weight. That is my goal for sure.

Wish me luck as I continue down the healthy path.

Easy day

Played a little tennis, did some light weightlifting. And that was about it. I'll do another good workout tomorrow, but I wasn't really feeling it today.

Dealing with the day to day stresses, tends to get kinda stressful, go figure right? I guess thats part of why I've been enjoying my workouts thus far. Even if I'm having a shitty day, I get a decent workout in and it gives me at least one thing to be happy about. Most of the time, on a bad day when I get a good workout anyways, it normally makes me feel even better because I would've had an excuse, but didn't use it. Which is a good thing for me, because obviously I've made quite a few excuses on the way to gaining some 40 pounds over the last few years.

So, every time I suck it up and do a workout when I dont necesarily want to, its like a small victory. As more and more of those small victories start to pile up, I'll start to see some results. Before I know it, my board shorts will start to fit better. Then awhile after that, after some more work, and some much higher nutritional standards, I'll be able to do a lot more than I have in years and live a better life.

Treadmill- 30 minutes, 1.75 miles, 175 calories.

Definitely better than yesterday. I'm thinking, it was about 1/4 mile and 25ish calories less than my last running workout, in 10 less minutes. Which is pretty cool. I'm making progress for sure. Unfortunately, now my legs are killing me. Ironically, my calves started hurting way before my shins tonight, and its my left shin that is hurting as opposed to the right one, as per normal. Weird, but oh well, it'll go away and the workout won't.

Speaking of progress, I decided that I want to meet my first goal, getting under 230 lbs, by my birthday, aka July 13th. That gives me just under 2 months to lose about 12 pounds. That seems pretty reasonable. Hopefully setting a timetable will make the goal more tangible, and easier to obtain.

On a much shittier note. Yesterday I discovered that neither of my 2 pair of boardshorts fit any more. Well, one is pretty close to skin tight, which is definitely out of the question at this point. The other one was no where close to fitting. I don't mean to be all dramatic, but that was pretty damn disappointing. I've had clothes not fit before, and I've not bought items because they were too tight. For some reason, I don't really know why, these particular items of clothing not fitting really hit a chord with me. I don't know, maybe it just hit me how big I've gotten. Obviously I know I havent been getting any smaller, but maybe having something that fit well a year ago not even make it over my ass just drove it home. It serves to further prove that I've basically waisted the last two years of my life. Next month will mark 2 years since I graduated with my fitness degree, as a fully certified personal trainer. Since then, I've gained a total of probably 30 lbs, been unemployed for approximately a year with a job in between. And now, I'm working a shitty job, cleaning up after a bunch of fat ass disgusting truckers, and I can't even afford to buy myself a new phone, or a new pair of running shoes, let alone an engagement ring for the love of my life. Wow, this blog has certainly taken a turn for the dramatic.

Oh well, in the next few days I have to go buy myself a new swimsuit. hopefully by my birthday the other two will fit again, and then I'll have my choice. Hopefully tomorrow my post will be more pleasant.

Stupid Shin Splints

Okay, so I figured I'd push myself tonight. All in the spirit of getting in better shape. So I started at a pretty good pace, made it about 12 minutes of the 20 - 25 I was gonna do, then had to stop because my shins were killing me. I walked the rest of the time, ended up with about 32 minutes, 1.5 miles, 150 calories.

I'm pretty disappointed, I was hoping for at least close to 2 miles, if not over, and around 200 calories. I haven't had that much problem with my shins lately. It sucks that it had to happen tonight. At this point I'm really looking to push it on the treadmill. I think I'll go for another run tomorrow and hope it goes way better.

Weigh-in 5-16

242.4 lbs---- down 2.2 lbs from my last weigh in (midweek last week, which I didnt record blog about).

37% bodyfat--- up about 2%. Chalk it up to dehydration.

Not a bad weigh-in, I might actually be seeing some payoff.

It took me like 20 tries to log in, pain in the ass.

Anyways, Bike, 40 minutes, 11 miles, 280 calories.

Had kind of a long day today. Spent some time in the sun so I'm feeling kinda sunkist. Its was in the 80's today, and 70's yesterday, so my allergies have been pretty bad the last few days. Bad enough yesterday that I didn't work out. Today I did workout, but I'm pretty damn tired. Got a nice new haircut, so now its short and ready for a nice warm summer full of workouts and swimming.

Next post = weigh-in.

Shitty day

First, crappy day at work. Went in to work, and didn't have any work to do, so I cleaned windows all day. It was boring, and I didn't make much money either, which sucks doubly.

Then I went to Red Robin for dinner. Not my favorite place, but I figured I could find something. So I settled on the "California Chicken Burger" which contained a chicken breast, jack cheese, and "zesty guacamole". I ate about half the sandwich and some fries, and I've felt like I've been gonna throw up ever since. The only thing I can think of is that I'm allergic to something in the guacamole, because my throat sorta has that allergic type feeling, and I know I'm not allergic to any of the other ingredients. Either that, or, it just did not settle well at all. But anyways, I've felt like crap since then.

Still managed to play tennis for about an hour, which was fun. My girlfriend bought some more tennis balls today, and that definitely made it better. Not having to stop every couple minutes to go pick up balls leaves a lot more time for playing and actual exercise. It managed to be fun, even though I didn't feel good.

Oh well, first bad day I've had in a couple weeks. All I can say is I hope that I feel better in the morning.

Chill out

Easy day today. Played tennis for about an hour earlier today. I'm taking tonight to relax. I'm tired and I have work in the morning. So I'm going to enjoy a little alone time, and pray that there is something interesting on tv, something besides American Idol, haven't watched it in several years, not gonna start tonight. Wow, Lost, Top Model, Idol in an hour. Television SUCKS!!!!!!

Any who, I've been thinking about putting a picture on here. Thats kind of a complicated issue for me. Ever since I've been gaining weight, probably about 2 years or maybe 3, I've done everything I could possibly do to avoid being photographed. For instance, when my girlfriend graduated last year, she was given a gift certificate to a photog studio. Its been a few weeks short of a year, and shes very disappointed that we haven't used it yet. I hate disappointing her, but I also don't like looking at myself in my current state. Wow, actually putting that down, it sounds pretty bad. I definitely have some issues. Hopefully as I lose some weight and get in better shape I'll get some of my confidence back.

But back to the point, I'm gonna look around and see if I can find a decent picture to put on here in the next couple days.

Today was good

First, 30-45 minutes of tennis which was fun, and exercise.

Then, on the bike, 47 minutes, 12.67 miles, 300 calories.

And the night cap, Biggest Loser finale. Talk about a surprise. I figured that it would be either Mike or Tara. But what they accomplished was absolutely amazing. Mike lost 200 lbs, in 6 months. All three of them lost half of their body weight, awesome. I figure if they can do that, especially in such a short time period, what the hell is my excuse. I'm on my way for sure, just gotta get my eating under control, then I'll be alright.

But anyways, my workout was awesome. It was really hard, once I got close, I had to hit 300 calories. I'm very proud of that. And of the fact that I got 12 miles in. Great workout, and an all around good day.

Lets see what tomorrow has in store.

Treadmill- 40 minutes, 2 miles, 240 to calories.

Made it through two miles today. I was pretty happy about that...

I'm a little torn at the moment. When I hit the treadmill, I walk and run for the given time and try to get as far as I can. So now, I'm a little bit torn between if I should focus on increasing total time spent exercising or if I should work on bumping up the amount of time actually running. Hmmmm.....

Now that I've actually stopped to think about it for a few minutes, I think what I'll do for a while is hold the total time at 30 or 40 minutes, for now, and try to increase the distance. Of course, that will mean running more. I obviously want to be able to run for the entire length of time. I can't wait to get to that point. On a side note, I'm kind of hoping to maybe do like a 5k by the end of the summer.

By the way, I decided I'm going to skip weigh-in for this week, since its already Monday anyways, and just go ahead and hope for a good number next week.

Just found out the pool in my apartments opens on the 22nd or 23rd. Thats when I get to start trying to figure out the whole total immersion swimming thing. Or at least the version that lies in the pages of my triathlon book. I'm looking forward to that. I used to hate swimming, but now I love it. Looking forward to Memorial Day weekend for sure.

P.S. ------ I'm starting to run out of catchy titles for my posts. Probably not a good sign, considering I've only been doing this for a couple weeks.

Saturday, May 9, 2009

pretty good workout

Bike- 35 minutes, 9.2 miles, 220 calories.

Another pretty solid effort. I have to enjoy, at this point I enjoy the bike way more than running. On the bike I can go pretty hard to still be in control. Running is a completely different story.

At this point fitness wise, I'm kind of somewhere in between a walk and a run. I'm in good enough shape that I need more than a walk to get a workout. But I'm not quite to the point where I can sustain a run for much length of time. That would suggest that I need to be doing either a really fast walk, or a slow jog. My problem is that I have shin splints pretty bad, so they hurt if I do either.

So for now, I guess I'm just kind of stuck doing whatever I can now. Once I get in better shape the whole running thing shouldn't be an issue. Also, in the past the shin splints have kinda gone away after a while of doing the same thing. So I'm REALLY hoping that it happens again so I don't have to deal with that pain.

Wow, uhm..... writers block. So I guess I'll call it a night, weigh-in probably tomorrow.

Friday, May 8, 2009

So I'm pretty happy tonight, well, okay, I'm somewhat happy.

I'm tired, exhausted actually. Have been all day. Only got like 4 hours of sleep last night. I've been up since 4 am, it just turned 10 pm.

So like I said, I'm tired, I did not want to work out. I wasn't going to work out today. Then I looked at the clock and noticed I still had time before the gym closed. So I went, and spent half an hour on the treadmill (30 min, 1.5 miles, 175 calories). It was an easy workout. Considering the super tough one I did yesterday, it probably needed to be anyways. But a workout is a workout, and on a day like this, when I'm hecka tired, any workout is good.

This kind of thing, working out when everything was telling me not to, makes me think that I'm on my way to turning the corner on the lifestyle change. At least as far as the activity part. For sure, I have a TON of work to do when it comes to nutrition. I eat like crap, I'm trying to do better. I'm trying to cut my portions down, and I've also been trying to cut down the amount of soda that I drink.

So anyways, I know I have a lot of work left to do. I guess you could say I'm a work in progress. But the point is, I'm making progress, and doing a helluva lot better than I was before.

Thursday, May 7, 2009

Right off the bat, I'll give you the stats:

Bike- 45 minutes, 11 miles, 225 calories

Treadmill- 15 minutes, .75 miles, 100 calories (forgot to look so I'm estimating)

Total- 1 hour, almost 12 miles, 325 Calories

Whew. No seriously, WHEW!!!! I was feeling pretty good today, all alone, didn't have work, didn't workout yesterday. So I figured I'd push it. Since I'm training for a triathlon, I figured I'd try to things in one workout.

At first, I was planning about 40 easy minutes on the bike, then maybe a 10 minute jog or something along those lines. About 3/4 of the way through my 40 minutes on the bike, I realized I had a shot at getting 10 miles, so I pushed, and pushed hard. Ended up hitting 10 miles at roughly 40:08, or thereabouts. Since I went really hard, and because there was a guy on the treadmill I like, I figured I'd do a bit of a cool down, ended up at 45 minutes. Once I started running I figured what the hell, I was going for a tough workout, might as well round out the hour. After a little over 10 minutes of pushing it, I did about 5 minutes of cooling down to complete the 60 minutes.

Then I walked home, downed some gatorade, and had to get on here to brag about it. I'm really happy, and proud of myself. I can't say for sure if I've lost any weight this week, and I know I haven't really in the few weeks I've been working out. But I'm so happy with the progress I've made cardiovascularly I dont really care. I mean, before I started following the plan in this triathlon book, I was doing 15 minute stints on a bike or treadmill then maybe a little bit of weight work. Today I did an hour of continuous, difficult cardio, without stopping or anything, and despite a little leg soreness, I feel really good.

It probably sounds really cheesey, but this is the type of thing that makes me think that I can lose the weight I have to get off, live my life the way I want to, and have a successful career in fitness. Suffice to say, I'm having a pretty damn good day.

Last couple days

Instead of my normal workouts, I played tennis with my girl. Nice easy 30 minute or so game. Had some fun, broke a sweat, overall good time. For not having played in years, I'm halfway decent. If I could actually aim my shots I'd be a lot better.
Then I watched Biggest Loser. Its pretty much my favorite show on television. Not to mention, the only "reality" show I watch. The marathon they did was completely amazing. In 4 months they went from big ole lard asses to marathoners. Gives me hope I can do my thing with the triathlon.

Got called in to work, had a really long and super busy day. By the time I was settled at home I was exhausted and didn't feel like working out. But I made up for it, trust me. To be Continued.....

Long ride

I spent 35 minutes on the stationary bike today. Did 9 miles, and burned 200 calories. I was a little sore when I got off the bike, well okay, it hurt to walk. But after a little stretch I was fine.

The ride today made me pretty happy, because, if I'm not mistaken, 9 miles is getting pretty close to sprint triathlon distance. I've always been pretty good on the bike, strong legs I guess. This is not to say that I'm anywhere near ready to do any events or anything. But it definitely feels pretty good that I can actually get some distance in at least one area.

I've done pretty good for the last week training. Hopefully I can keep it going. The swimming pool in my apartments opens at the end of the month. I can't wait to get in the pool. A big reason why I bought the training book that I got was because it has pretty thorough section about swimming. There are some pretty interesting tidbits in there, and I'm very anxious to try them out.

Playing is better than working out

I just played tennis with my girlfriend. It was really fun. Neither of us are particularly good (at all), and I have no clue how many calories I burned. But, I got an hour of exercise and did some serious sweating. Not bad for what was supposed to be an "off" day.

Weigh-In 5-2

247.8 lbs up 5 lbs

34.9% bodyfat down 3%ish

Talk about totally killing what I thought was a good week. So far the two weeks that I've worked out I've gained weight, and when I haven't worked out I've lost. What the hell is going on. I know I don't eat too well, but still the working out should lead to burning more calories. I know that Ive gained back some hydration this week because I was super-dehydrated last week due to illness. But that still should not be 5 pounds.

I don't really know whats going on. But I'm gonna work out more next week and hope it works. Wish me luck.

Two Days

Finally I've had two good days in a row. I've obviously been having problems with consistency. Seo, I am pretty happy that I've had 2 productive workouts in a row.

30 minutes of treadmill running. 1.8 miles. 220 calories.

Legs are a little sore, but we'll see about that tomorrow. Overall, good workout, two good days. pretty good week.

Friday, May 1, 2009

Okay quick run down of the last couple days.

Wednesday- I was going to do a full body workout, but I was really sore from my run thge day before. So I didn't do the workout, then in further examining the plan in the book I found out for the first couple weeks I'm supposed to focus on cardio, a- nd not do weight training for a couple weeks. So it ended up not being such a bad thing.

Thursday- Didn't workout because I was busy watching the Blazers being eliminated by the Rockets. Good series, next year Portland will make it past the 1st round easily.

Today (Friday)- Did 30 minutes on the bike. 150 calories, 6.5 miles. Admittedly a pretty easy workout, But it was the first long bike ride I've done, and I did not want to be super sore like I was after my run the other day. Next bike ride will be tougher for sure.

As for tomorrow- Another run, I'll try to run the majority of the 30 minutes this time. Then a weigh-in. Pretty good week workout wise, so lets hope the scale will reflect it.
